Post-Garza County Endowment Awards Grants
On Friday, August 29, 2014, the Post-Garza County Endowment awarded grants to eight area nonprofit organizations during the Post High School football game at halftime. The grants for 2014 were generated by earnings from the endowment fund, and generous gifts given by the Lubbock Area Foundation and Xcel Energy. The Post-Garza County Endowment is an affiliate of the Lubbock Area Foundation.
The grants totaling $13,300 were awarded to:
• Ragtown Gospel Theater • Community Recovery Center • Caprock Cultural Association • Post Animal Refuge Center • Post Cares • Salvation Army • Trailblazers and Meals on Wheels • Garza Co. Jr. Livestock Association
Teacher Mini-Grant recipients were also announced during the game. Congratulations to the following area teachers on receiving Mini-Grant awards totaling $3,974.00 for their special educational projects:
• Tim Tatum • Raelene Reece • Crystal Osborn • Marjorie Grissom • Post Elementary Development of Science Lab Program
