Plainview Area Endowment Awards Over $23,000 in Community Grants
The Plainview Area Endowment, an affiliate of Community Foundation of West Texas, was created in 2010 to give the people of Plainview and surrounding counties the opportunity to build a pool of permanent resources exclusively for the benefit of their communities.
Today the endowment has over $930,000 and supports funds for 12 designated organizations. To date, the endowment has given 110 grants and scholarships totaling $134,449.56 to area non-profits and schools. Each year, as the endowment grows, the group is able to give back even more to the community. This year alone the Plainview Area Endowment will added to those numbers as they gave $23,466 in grants supporting worthy organizations and causes in the area.
