Community Foundation of West Texas Grants Over $690,000 to Arts, Animal, and Numerous Nonprofit Orga
April 16, 2019 (Lubbock, TX) - The Community Foundation of West Texas (CFWT) is proud to announce the funding of 114 grants to 86 nonprofit organizations totaling $690,811! These grants are from several funds of the Community Foundation: Sybil B. Harrington Endowment for the Arts (HART), the CFWT Fund for Animal Welfare (CFAW), Community Grants fund, Scholarships, Designated/Donor Advised Funds, and the Parkhill, Smith & Cooper Building Community Fund.
Field of interest funds such as HART and CFAW exist because donors have a passion for specific interests such as arts and animals. Community Fund grants are recommended from submitted applications. Nonprofit organizations from the entire South Plains area are eligible to apply for the community grants. PSC Building Community Fund grantees are recommended by PSC employees.
