CFWTX Awards $31,583.87 in Mini-Grants to South Plains Teachers


The Community Foundation of West Texas proudly announces the distribution of $31,583.87 in Mini-Grants for Teachers to 33 South Plains Area elementary and secondary school teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. These grants will support innovative classroom projects, benefiting over 5,500 students.


The Mini-Grants for Teachers program, now in its 26th year, awards grants of up to $1,500 to K-12 teachers in accredited South Plains schools. Funding for the 2024 mini-grants cycle was provided by the Bigham Fund, the Odyssey Endowment, the Larry & Mary Franklin Endowment, the South Plains Foundation, Rushing Family Fund, the Parkhill Foundation, the Mini-Grants for Teachers Endowment, and an anonymous donor. Since 1998, the program has awarded 765 grants totaling $616,464.40, enriching academic experiences and recognizing outstanding teachers.
