CFWT Grant Story: East Lubbock Art House

Through grant assistance from the Community Foundation of West Texas, East Lubbock Art House acquired fresh food, a refrigerator, and a deep freezer for its Lubbock Community Fridge initiative. Grant funds were also used to purchase sanitizing products to keep the project area clean and bacteria free. Over the last year, the organization has fed those in need by distributing non-perishables, fruit, vegetables, and non-alcoholic bottled beverages. ELAH reported, "As a form of mutual aid, we are able to provide a resource of healthy and fun food options to our unhoused neighbors, individuals living in poverty, and those who would otherwise go hungry."
