CFWT Scholarship Spotlight: Caroline Willcoxon
The 2022 Miss Coronado High School Scholarship recipient is CHS graduate Caroline Willcoxon. Caroline attends classes at Texas Tech University studying Speech Language Hearing Science. Caroline plans to earn a master's degree and become a speech therapist at an elementary school. She says she wants to pursue a career in this field because her "cousin grew up with speech therapists since he was born with cleft lip/palate."
While in high school, Caroline had many accomplishments: volleyball First Team All-State Academic, Miss CHS, and State Finalist for UIL Spelling & Vocabulary. Caroline volunteers at Caleb's Closet, the AJGA Golf Tournament, and is a Mustang Mentor at Preston Smith Elementary. When not attending classes, she enjoys playing volleyball, hanging out with her family, and working at Stock Style Shop.
Caroline writes, "Thank you so very much for the Miss CHS scholarship I received...I am beyond appreciative for the acknowledgment and recognition given to me, and it will inspire me to continue my hard work and respectable morals."
