CFWT Grant Story: Community Partners of Lubbock

With grant funding assistance from the Community Foundation of West Texas, the Lubbock County CPS Rainbow Room has provided nearly 1,730 items to children and families. Items given include baby necessities, car seats, hygiene products, school uniforms, family-specific needs, and things to ensure immediate safety while in their home or with a relative placement. In addition, the organization provided pack n plays to 72 families to create a safe sleeping arrangement for children and avoid co-sleeping in a bed. Community Partners of Lubbock reported, "We have found that the ability to provide safety items is our strength and helping families in their times of distress."
