Slaton Area Endowment Grant Story: Slaton High School

With grant funding from the Slaton Area Endowment, the Slaton High School purchased a new fryer for its Culinary Arts Program. Slaton High students obtain industry knowledge and the tools to help them succeed as they prepare to enter the workforce through the program. The new fryer gives these sophomore to senior-aged students an opportunity to gain commercial equipment operation experience. The school reports, "This equipment will serve approximately 75 students each year, as well as, provide opportunities to serve at various community and school events, from open houses to our annual Veteran's Day reception that hosts and honors local area military veterans."
